“On This Day” feature (memories)

I would like to have a feature similar to Microsoft OneDrive’s “On This Day” feature. On OneDrive it works like this: When you have memories of pictures on a certain date, you get a notification that day and you can look back at your pictures taken on that day from the years that have passed. I would like the same feature here, like getting a notification “On this day you listened to…”, “On this day you listened to … for the first time”, “On this day this song peaked” etc. I think this is a feature that can be fun and also developed in several ways. Memories are fun and I think our way we listen to music is circular so I think you can start seeing patterns with help from this feature. (Source of attached image: Digital Citizen 2023)).

Be able to have a graph where your songs are separated according to what decade they are from: 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, etc...

Liking/Reactions to a Friends Track

Sort of like “[Name] loved that you’re listening to [Track name]!!” It’s a cute interaction and can boost a mood without manually telling everyone that you like the song they’re listening to by chat

Record History

Show what other records you have had in the past and when you lost them. They would not count towards your total anymore, but would just give you an idea of what records you've lost recently.

A new pale pink theme

Yo can we get another pink theme that's more of a baby pink / pale red / salmon color? The existing pink color is kinda ugly and the peach one is too beige-y

Merging tracks, albums and artists

This will be done by stats.fm Employees and users will not be able to do this. There will also be a feature to report incorrectly merged items or request something be merged.

Notifications for milestones

There should be an option to enable notifications when a song/artist/album reaches a milestone (either based on streams or minutes). For example: every 100 streams or every 1000 streams.

Friends only privacy option

Instead of turning something fully off, have an option to set it to friends only or fully off.

Faster updating of artist photos. Many are without photos

Some artists, both recent and old, do not have photos. Not having a photo of the artists really bothers those who like organization.

Choice for explicit version at playlist sync

An feature where you can turn on or off before you sync a playlist if you want the explicit versions or not because me personally i dont like explicit versions

Filter streams by streaming service

Let users who have imported their data from multiple platforms see data from a specific platform or all.

Merge previous singles to album streams

When an album gets released, streams from pre-released singles should be included on the album's streams

Spotify Streams not syncing

Not sure if i’m the only one dealing with this but by streams aren’t showing. My spotify is still connected and everything but the streams don’t seem to be counting/syncing?

Incorrect Album Cover

Set the album cover of a single to be the earliest album cover when the album first came out, instead of the cover of compilation.

Incorrect metadata reporting

We are working on a way for you to report incorrect metadata in the app. What's consider incorrect metadata? Duplicate artists, tracks, or albums. Tracks where an artist is missing, or wrongly added. Albums with missing or outdated track names (If the artist changed them).

Make “Stories” section customisable

Give the user the option to switch it off. It is really annoying. I don’t want to open a statistics app and see the bunch of instagram craps. I want simplicity. Thank you.

Track Audio previews

Be able to play the 30s track audio preview in the app.

Add back the Sort button

The button where you could switch number of streams and minutes streams is gone, so add back

Listening time percentage

A cool idea for the stats page is if you have added your birthday, then it will tell you what percentage of your life you spent listening to music. It seems fairly trivial to add, and world be a very cool metric.

Still, one of the biggest burdens is the data request & import process. A clean & striking video tutorial guide could significantly help minimizing the common issues in the process & might encourage more Plus users to actually request and import their data.
