Spotify stats show songs that have way more plays than on stats.fm

With the new Playlist Spotify released, showing songs most listened to by people, it is apparent that there are some discrepancies. I understand how some of it works, like minor differences, but there are a few songs that are notably missing. For example, Super Massive Black Hole by Muse, is the 15th most played song according to spotify with 228 listens, but stats.fm shows it has under 100. 5, 10, even 20 listens is one thing but thats over 100 different.
