spotify disconnected and won’t reconnect

My spotify got disconnected 10th July and I am STILL not able to be able to reconnect it. I keep getting a message saying my spotify is already associated with this account. It isn’t anymore because the app disconnected it and now it won’t connect it or login. Never had this problem before.
