Song Recognition (Duplicates)

It’s been going on for about one year that i’ve encountered that every song that is getting released recently with multiple versions (Single, EP, Album (Deluxe), etc…) doesn’t get merged into one song but rather two (or even more) seperate ones. It’s really frustrating when an Album releases and I switch out the versions of the song to keep the Albums stats tracked and it shows up with 0 streams. I don’t know what the exact problem is but I could imagine it having to do something with Apple Music, since beforehand everything seemed to be fine. The actual song ID should be the same since on Spotify it counts as one song (with merging the streams and so on) but on here it does not. I’ve also tried to request new listening data from Spotify but it didn’t work out.
