Repeat songs not being recorded

When i play a song on repeat, the app only counts the first time it plays instead of however many times the song repeated. This means i have the incorrect number of streams per day as well as per song. I use apple music btw. Ever since switching this app has not been nearly as good at keeping track of my listening history.
