Past streams not appearing

Hi everyone! Has anyone else had problems with stats.fm telling you you only listened to a song 8 times when you know for sure you've listened to it way more times?

Like for example, there's an album that stats.fm tells me I've listened to 2000 times but when I open it, it shows me that I've only played each song about 5-6 times

does anyone know why this happens? can I fix it somehow? I would like to have accurate stats since I pay for this app.
