Partial streams not recorded

Anyone noticed that if you listen to only some of the song, it doesn’t count as a stream and the minutes are not accounted for. I listened to an 8 minute song but changed song after 7 minutes and none of it showed in my recent played or counted towards the stats. I do wonder how much data is missing because of that as I am a song hopper.
