My apple music streams aren’t tracking

They only track when i play songs not in my library, which doesn’t make sense. i have both spotify and apple music, the spotify streams have no problem but i mainly use apple music so this is a big problem. I’ve been paying for this service for my second yesr now and what used to be so reliable is actually very disappointing
