Merging Identical Tracks (Single & Album versions)

Hi Statsfm Team,

I wanted to bring up an issue I’ve been experiencing regarding how stats are calculated for identical tracks released both as singles and as part of an album.

For example, Lady Gaga’s Die With a Smile is available both as a standalone single and within an album. Although both versions are completely identical in audio and metadata (aside from release context), Statsfm currently tracks them separately. This affects the accuracy of listening stats and overall data insights.

It would be great if Statsfm could automatically recognize and merge such duplicate tracks when they are exactly the same. And if automatic merging isn’t feasible for now, perhaps consider adding a feature that allows users to manually merge identical tracks themselves in a future update.
