Issue with Apple Music tracking repeats

Assuming this is a known issue, but the app won’t track a song being played on repeat more than once in Apple Music. I’ve had multiple instances on the past month where I listened to a song for multiple hours on repeat and when I checked the app, it said I listened to it one time. I’ve tried repeating in different ways and it doesn’t seem to work.
