Changed gender and the "none" option disapeared

I had the ‘none’ option selected under the gender option for the past 3 years or so; I got bored and started messing around with settings and thought the ‘other’ option would open a text box for a custom gender (idk what other genders there are) so I selected it. After selecting it, the none option disappeared and I cannot select it again. There is no way to tell this would happen prior to selecting it so I feel stupid for interacting with any of the settings in the first place.
