Apple Music Connection

So i‘ve had apple music connected to stats.fm for a while now but it suddenly stopped working. when i try to reconnect it, it says i need to allow access to media and apple music in the settings, but its already activated. When i turn it off and back on again the app restarts but nothing changes and i still cant add apple music back again. I‘ve also tried deleting and reinstalling stats.fm which also didnt work. when i log in with only my apple music account it works, but it creates a completely different account than the one i already have. but when i try to add apple music in addition to spotify it just wont work.
