There are several discrepancies between my actual Apple Music data and what is reported on stats.fm. Many of my tracks do not appear correctly, and when importing the CSV file, a significant amount of data was either lost or not counted. In particular, around 10,000 minutes of music per year were missing compared to Apple Music Replay’s count. I also suspect that both Apple Music and stats.fm contain inaccuracies, as most of the songs I listen to were manually imported, often with slight variations in track title, length, or artist information compared to Apple’s official metadata. This causes an issue where, when I play these tracks, stats.fm assumes I am not listening to anything at all.
Instead of excluding this information entirely, stats.fm should consider grouping all such tracks under an “unknown track” category while still counting the total listening minutes. This way, the minutes contribute to overall listening time without affecting categories like most-listened-to tracks or artists.
