App widgets not working

I have had widgets for this app on my Lock Screen and Home Screen for months now but recently they haven’t appeared on my lock screen and on my Home Screen the widget is just black and doesn’t display any data. Clicking on the widget brings me to the app and works fine but for a week or two it displays absolutely nothing like this:
