App incompatible with device

Just got a notification that the app needed updating, but when I go to the Google Play store, I'm told that the app is no longer compatible with my device (Samsung A53) and to get in contact with the developers. If this is the case, this is honestly really disappointing, especially as I have given my money and spent an abundance of time on this app.
