When will the most obvious issue of artists not being correctly merged or duplicated because of different platforms?

I don’t understand why some artists are separate because of Apple Music and Spotify but sometimes they have multiple profiles even if one is merged then other tracks count for different profiles? It makes no sense and it doesn’t feel worth it to use the app if it doesn’t count my favorite artists correctly because the app doesn’t know how to merge/create artist profiles correctly…
