It would be really great, if Stats.fm would have an option to track what's playing across your operating system, such as through the "Now Playing"-status widgets in the notifications centers.
Operating systems, such as Android, Windows, and probably others, have "Now Playing"-status widgets in the notifications centers. The official Last.fm Scrobbler app for Android allows you to track what's playing in whatever app(s) you choose. This may also include your web browser of choice and thus websites too. A similar app for Windows, macOS, Linux, etc. could also be developed. Alternatively, a plugin or extension for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, etc. could also be used.
Having this on Stats.fm would be great. This would allow a user to track their listening history across any music streaming service or player. This support could thus also include more local, national, and regional music streaming services which might otherwise maybe never be supported by Stats.fm, natively.
One example of this is YouSee Musik and Telmore Musik in Denmark. A music streaming service with more than a million users, but still significantly smaller than Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and other global players. An important player in Denmark, but a minor player in the global scheme of things.
