Hello, and allow me to post here an idea of mine. I named it "Summarize with Zero" because of the way I am finding that it would be useful to use the API's of all of that different streaming services and systems. In short: from Spotify Stats.fm gets all of the infos about songs, together with its artist, album, genre, lyrics etc etc. Using those - Stats.fm did beautiful graphical environment and we are becoming good way to "see" the music we were listening. Now.. by using API's of some other services (like AccuRadio or Replaio Radio) Stats.fm would get good number of data just as it does with Spotify, yet maybe some details would be not available to be included.. maybe Genre, Lyrics, artist details... Here is my idea: guys, just go further, use the details about the songs which were used, what artist, what album, time it was.. and rubrics that are not included just keep to be blank. This way, Stats.fm would have all the data about Song and Artist, it would create further its own calculations which are the most important thing in all of these Stats.fm system , machine learning will be able to define by itself some user's followed genre - and "blank" or "zero" here and there would not mean a problem.
On the other hand, in sense of how collecting data if user added more streaming services together or uses those on more phones in the same time - the way goes simple: the newest counts. If user started with Spotify and then started to listen Accuradio - Stats.fm ends tracking Spotify and goes Accuradio. If user starts with Replaio Radio, Stats.fm leaves Accuradio and goes Replaio.. and so on and so on.
Whole the idea is augmenting the use of streaming service API's and including all of that data in biggest way possible into Stats.fm graphical routine. I am pretty sure that this way of thinking would bring always greater growth in commercial base of Stats.fm users and friends of the project! Thank you!
