Recaps🌟

The new recap colors are awful. I hate the singular color format, it's visually uncomfortable to look at, IT’S SUCH AN EYESORE. IMMEDIATE HEADACHE. (if anyone can relate to the feeling). It was wayy better before, how the options had a gradient/multi-colors incorporated.

I LOVED the old blue recap option bc it had other colors adding to the vibe. I typically saved the blue version for a happy week (I chose that one a lot during the spring and summer bc it was a vibe. The pink, green, and blue color variations really added to why it stood out and looked the best. The tan, light pink, orange and even the black recaps had that color detail (the bubbles and the headlines in a different color compared to the numbered lists) that made IT LOOK GOOD. I liked when the artist photos paired well with the bubble colored lines.

Now the new recaps look ugly/plain without the bubble lines that were connected to the artist bubble. The new colors are terrible shades of those colors, seriously, like the worst hues you could’ve chosen. The red, orange, green, YELLOW especially are too harsh/unpleasant to the eye. I’m in my yellow phase and would love to have a YELLOW RECAP that actually looks PRETTY and CALM (the current one gives me an instant eye sore, all the colors do). The blue used to be so pretty now it hurts to stare at.

Different shades of blue would be nice, darker non-aggressive blue would be good for darker mood’s, a calm blue, and an exciting blue. COLOR SHAPES THE MOOD and the details make them interesting/pleasant to look at (visually basic makes me disgusted, can’t explain why, it just does).

The black became the MOST BORING/FRUSTRATING — it used to be my RELIABLE GO-TO when the other colors just weren’t vibing with that week’s top songs/artist images. But now I cant stand it. Almost as bad as the orange and yellow.

PLUS still no COLOR WHEEL option (if you do add a color wheel, please, make it so the details like the bubble lines, “top tracks,” “top artist” words automatically adjust colors so that it pairs well with the main color chosen from the color wheel for the recap and possibly the overall APP THEME (changeable in settings).

A color wheel will only be worth it if the overall recaps still have depth in the details)🥺🙏🩵💙💜💛🧡🩷❤️🖤🩶🤍

P.S. the new glow recaps for the monthly recaps are good, it has character, gradient, dark but subtle glow that’s gentle to the eye, I love it, there’s depth😊👍👌 (the blue and pink glow versions need to be available for the weekly recaps not just the green one (which is now my GO-TO weekly recap choice bc the rest are so bad) - if you make those available for all recaps, the 3 new glow options will suffice for the time being until a more customizable option becomes available.

RECAPS are soooo important, they’re a big reason why I use this app; it’s unfortunate that the new changes are making it less exciting to wait for them at the end of the week.

AND OFC PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the issue that caused my TOP SONGS to be removed from my lifetime charts. THE INDIVIDUAL TOP SONGS ARE MORE IMPORTANT than top album or top genre. (Top artist is also REALLY important but it seems to remain accurate.) I would be happy if my top 250 SONGS were accurate, the rest I don’t really care about rn. If not top 250, AT LEAST TOP 100🙏🙏🙏 I need my LISA⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ tracks BACK ON MY LIST ASAP😫🫠🤧

I don’t typically reveal my music taste with just anyone but for the purpose of improving the app I’m sharing some examples of my previous recaps🤩🫣

Blue was such a vibe before: the pink, green, blues… the different blue for “top tracks” and “top artists”👩‍🍳👌

The color of the bubbles pair so well for each artist’s image🤎🤎🩶

There was way more effort in color incorporations for this orange, gives it more oomph. We all have artists we love and have a grasp of their personalities… I like to choose the recap that have colors that pair well with the artist - the pink bubbles for MB look good to me bc I feel her personality is bubbly and “cute” and pink feels like that. The orange bubble fits well with the image color/vibe. The white matches the background of the artist photo.

Simple but great/reliable - any artist can fit the clean vibe of the black recap (old version not the underwhelming new version)
