Idea:

Please allow Spotify and/or stats.fm to automatically merge different versions of the same song – such as the original, music video, remix, extended version, or live recording – into one single entry in my stats and listening history.

Why?

This feature already exists in the Official German Charts (ODC), where different versions are grouped using their ISRC (International Standard Recording Code). It would give a more accurate picture of what listeners truly love, and help people better track their favorites.

Example: Currently, if I listen to:

"Bad Romance"

"Bad Romance (Video)"

"Bad Romance (Live)"

"Bad Romance (Remix)"

…they are all counted separately, even though they are just different versions of the same core song.

What I suggest: Please allow the option to group versions by ISRC or at least by title + artist match, similar to how official music charts do it.

Bonus idea:

Let users choose whether they want to see grouped or ungrouped stats. That way, power users keep control, and casual listeners get a clearer picture.

Thank you!
