cohesiveness with music

I think if albums are all under the same umbrella like original 1989, deluxe original 1989 and 1989 taylor's version, it would be cohesive to have all the streams together because they are all considered '1989'. Of course albums that arent related to each other dont need to be merged, but having those three above merged would be brilliant. I've listened in total to 1989 as a whole, over 1500 times but it doesnt show that because all my listens are on seperate albums. this really bothers me. doing this is really just about cohesiveness, and makes the app alot cleaner, and in hindsight, much more accurate.

I couldn't agree more - the exact version/edition with bonus tracks, remaster, reissue, FDR, etc. should only be relevant to Discogs where it actually matters.

Having to manually edit my LastFM scrobbles to the correct version is very annoying (see Death as an artist for example). There's the original mastering for each LP (which sound the best with the highest dynamic range), then there's the awful remasters by Relapse Records, deluxe editions with live/demo tracks, etc. It's a mess…and it's even worse when using TIDAL or Qobuz.
