Apple Music Live Scrobbling only syncs some streams since August 5

Since the evening of August 5, my Apple Music live scrobbling has become extremely unreliable.

Here’s what has been happening:

  • Live Scrobbling suddenly stopped syncing my streams.

  • At one point it came back and registered only 2 songs, then stopped again.

  • The issue affects both my iPhone and my Windows laptop.

  • I have tested playback on both devices, and neither reliably sends streams anymore.

  • The Apple Music app on Windows also had login issues, but I eventually managed to sign in successfully. Even after logging in, streams are still not syncing.

  • Today, only 6 songs from everything I listened to yesterday appeared in Stats.fm. They were not consecutive tracks, but seemingly random songs. Most of yesterday’s streams are still missing.

  • The missing streams include music from my library and playlists.

  • This happens regardless of whether the songs are downloaded or streamed online.

  • My Apple Music subscription is an Apple Music Family plan, and I have Stats.fm Plus.

Things I have already tried:

  • Disconnecting and reconnecting Apple Music.

  • Disabling and re-enabling Live Scrobbling.

  • Restarting the iPhone.

  • Logging in again to Apple Music.

  • Testing on different browsers and on the Apple Music Windows app.

  • Confirming that Playback History is enabled.

  • Waiting several hours to see if delayed streams appear.

Nothing has permanently fixed the problem. Sometimes a few random streams appear hours later, but most never sync.

Could the team please check if there is an issue with the Apple Music integration or Live Scrobbling backend? It seems to have started around August 5–6, and I’ve noticed other users reporting similar behavior.

Thank you.
