Today, the platform handles EPs inconsistently. For example, I listen to several EPs frequently—“In a Mood” by Mad Routine is one of my top albums, yet it’s labeled simply as an “album.” Meanwhile, “2005” by South Arcade, another EP I play often, doesn’t even appear in my Top Albums and is marked as a “single.” Both releases are clearly specified as EPs on Spotify, but because Spotify’s API only offers three album-type fields (“compilation,” “single,” “album”), the EP category is lost. It’s a shame we can’t distinguish EPs properly. To address this, it might be helpful to let users vote whenever there’s uncertainty—so the community can confirm whether a release is a single or an EP, and vice versa. This is just a friendly proposal from a StatsFM fan who wants to see the platform improve.
