I absolutely cannot recommend stats.fm based on my experience so far.

I bought the Lifetime access and honestly feel pretty misled right now. From the outside, the app gives the impression that you will get powerful, up-to-date and useful music statistics. In reality, for my use case, it has been a massive disappointment so far.

The features feel unfinished to me, the statistics are only of limited use, and the data apparently depends on what Spotify, Apple Music, etc. provide or release upon request. In my opinion, this is far away from real live tracking or truly current and reliable numbers. But that would have been the main reason for buying an app like this in the first place.

What annoys me the most is the Lifetime purchase: I paid for Lifetime access, but still do not get full access to PLUS or to the features I expected with such a purchase. To me, that is absolutely unacceptable. If a paid Lifetime version is offered, it should not feel like the most important features are still missing, restricted, or treated separately afterwards.

For the price I paid, this feels like a complete rip-off. I would reverse the purchase immediately if I could. Right now, this does not feel like a fair premium product to me, but rather like a lot of promises with very little real value.

My personal conclusion: No recommendation. Stay away. If you expect real, current and reliable music statistics, save your money.

Ich kann stats.fm nach meinem bisherigen Eindruck wirklich überhaupt nicht empfehlen.

Ich habe den Lifetime-Zugang gekauft und fühle mich aktuell ehrlich gesagt ziemlich veräppelt. Die App wirkt nach außen so, als würde man damit starke, aktuelle und brauchbare Musik-Statistiken bekommen. In der Realität ist das für meinen Anwendungsfall bisher eine massive Enttäuschung.

Die Funktionen wirken auf mich unausgereift, die Statistiken sind nur eingeschränkt brauchbar und hängen offenbar davon ab, welche Daten Spotify, Apple Music usw. überhaupt bereitstellen oder erst auf Anfrage liefern. Von echter Live-Verfolgung oder wirklich aktuellen, verlässlichen Zahlen kann aus meiner Sicht keine Rede sein. Genau das wäre aber der Hauptgrund gewesen, so eine App überhaupt zu kaufen.

Besonders ärgerlich ist der Lifetime-Kauf: Ich habe Lifetime bezahlt, bekomme aber trotzdem keinen vollständigen Zugriff auf PLUS beziehungsweise auf die Funktionen, die ich bei so einem Kauf erwartet hätte. Das ist für mich absolut inakzeptabel. Wenn man eine kostenpflichtige Lifetime-Version anbietet, dann darf danach nicht der Eindruck entstehen, dass die entscheidenden Funktionen trotzdem fehlen, eingeschränkt sind oder nochmal anders behandelt werden.

Für den gezahlten Preis ist das aus meiner Sicht eine Frechheit. Ich würde den Kauf sofort rückgängig machen, wenn ich könnte. Aktuell fühlt sich das für mich nicht nach einem fairen Premium-Produkt an, sondern nach viel Versprechen und sehr wenig echtem Nutzen.

Mein persönliches Fazit: Keine Empfehlung. Finger weg. Wer echte, aktuelle und verlässliche Musik-Statistiken erwartet, sollte sich das Geld sparen.
